| For
the 2002 Summer Season, the Stallions will be holding open
tryouts for players who wish to have the opportunity to play
on our 1987 and 1988 teams. Because of the individual needs
of players and families, the Stallions put together separate
teams to play in each of the four summer tournaments we
participate in. Last year this enabled us to offer
opportunities for almost 50 players to participate in at
least one tournament with our select teams. It also enabled
players the time to participate in other programs, district
programs, camps, schools, and even take family vacations. It’s
our objective to play hockey at its highest competitive
levels, have fun and support your family.
The players from our 2001 teams will be invited back for
tryouts and we’re looking for players who have already
played at the AAA level, or AAA ready and playing AA at a
minimum.
All former and prospective players must pre-register for
tryouts by sending an e-mail to,

Tryouts:
Players will participate in two tryout evaluation sessions
and be asked to complete a registration package indicating
which tournaments they’d be available to play in. From
these tryouts, combined with the registration information,
each tournament team will be developed. It is our objective
to put the best available players together to compete in
each tournament. Teams can consist of up to 17 players (9
forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies). The tournament teams
will be posted on the Stallions website within a week (7
days) of the completion of tryouts.
Practices: Since the Stallions Select are tournament
teams, we will not be conducting formal summer practice
sessions. It is our experience that our players typically
are skating with their club and high school teams, doing
camps and schools, or playing in other summer programs
already. Since our objective is to provide a competitive
tournament environment, we’ll rely on the players to
maintain their game readiness.
Fees: The cost of tryouts is $25.00 due at
registration, and each player selected will receive billing
for their individual tournament fees ($50.00 per
tournament). All tournament fees must be paid no later than
May 15th, 2002 and players who have not paid, can
be removed from the roster to enable us to find alternate
players to complete our roster for any tournament.
